Default Can anyone tell me about Moreland KY?

We are going to look at a house there, the post office address says Stanford but its actually Moreland from what the person said. Can someone please tell me what stores and stuff they have there. Is the community friendly and have events going on? I would appreciate any info

It is a small country village that has seen some new growth in recent years w/ several new subdivisions and a Dollar General store and Subway restaurant. It seems like an exurb of Danville- I doubt there are any events right in Moreland but Danville has some.

it took me a while to like morehead, it is a really slow paced town. Now i love it-great place to raise a family, don't have to worry about crime. Get you a rocker for your front porch and drink a glass of lemonade or other favorite bev.

I've only driven through there and don't know any of the people, but I know this: there is NOTHING there worth even blinking at. Danville is just 10 miles north, offers country/rural serenity and enough stores to hold you over with the sophistication of a well-respected liberal arts college and excellent performing arts center at a bargain Midwestern price.

If work in or within 2-3 miles of Moreland, then, sure, I can understand you wanting to move there. But, Danville is a small regional hub, of sorts, and if you work anywhere within a 15 mile radius of the city (which Moreland is,) you might as well live in Danville.
