Wanting to move to Kentucky, husband has a felony... (apartments, place to live)

We aren't bad people or anything, we are a young married couple and when my husband was 19 he got a felony for being in a stolen car. He is 25 now, and is the most kind hearted man you will ever meet.
We currently live in Texas and we're staying with my sister to help her out with bills because she is going through a divorce.
Texas is very strict with felons and the only apartments we have found that will even attempt to work with felons are so trashy and filled with drugs and thugs.

I've been wanting change...Can anyone help us?

Will he be able to find a decent paying job that will accept him, and can we find a decent place to live??

Heck, 1/2 of my neighbors are felons, but then I live near 4 prisons, but that being said, lets be serious. It won't be easy here, either, but there will be more opportunities to live in decent places. As for a job, it will all depend on you hubby's skills and abilities. If he's a tradesman, his skills will serve him far more than his felony will hurt him.
