Is Carrollton a pretty desirable location to live being its proximity to Cincy and Louisville? I would think more people would choose to live there because it's in the middle.

Sorry to add to this post again. Any ways I was wondering what would the taxes be like on a home that is on maybe 1 acre 10 years old or newer. 2000 S.F.? Where I live currently it's about $7,000 a yr. Just wondering how much I could save. Also is Carrollton what you would call a progessive community, meaning lots of growth?

Carrollton is an hour from downtown Cincy with good traffic flow.

tomocox,
What do you mean the Carrollton isn't social? Are there any festivals etc? I read on the Carrollton website that they've been trying to get downtown back in swing etc. Does Carrollton have all your basic needs for groceries etc? |

Oh, I was speaking of night life, events and so forth. General Butler State Park is a major player in the city, as is the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers. Carrollton is the kind of place I could enjoy, but people looking for movie theaters, fancy dining, sporting events, etc, would find Carrollton boring. If you enjoy community picnics, church socials, drives in the country, antique shopping, etc, Carrollton is fine. There's a Walmart there, a Sav-a-lot grocery, a Kroger, and a small outlet mall. Two new car dealers, and more.

I'm only 19, but I'm not a nightlife kind of guy. I'm really into biking on country roads and fishing and attempting some good photography. Now on maps it looks as though Carroll County is pretty hilly. Is that how all of northern Kentucky is?

Does anyone have any pictures of the area around Carrollton, Campbellsburg etc? I went on the website for Carrollton and Carroll County and it has a limited amount of pictures.

Also what is the sales tax in Kentucky? In Wisconsin it's 5.5%. For example at our local Mickey dees if you order a $1.00 item you pay a total of $1.06. I just used that as an example.
Also is there schools for each city in the county or do they go by county schools? |
