I guess I should give some detail of what is going on ..we were married november of 2003 hubby is moving out this week he however wants to work out he gives me the home in order for not having to give me alimony but at this point and time im unable to work and have no income now so my only choice I can come to at this point is go for alimony I bought and paid for the home I have not worked throughout our marriage I do have some medical problems. to begin with alls i asked of him was to please just pay my utilities til i can get on my own 2 feet he agreed and then said no. I have to have medical insurance and the home I wont give up he didnt put a penny into this home whatsoever we dont have any kids. I'm really desperate for a good lawyer so if anybody can please help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Marie

First of all, I am sorry for what you are dealing with.
My advice to you would be to call the legal aid society in Bowling Green and ask them what you should do.

If you two can, sit down and work out an agreement. All you have to do it take it to the courthouse and pay a filing fee. No lawyer. Still have to go to court just to say no we can't keep this marriage going and yes, we worked out this agreement. All divorce decrees that are filed at the courthouse are public record. My wife and her second husband did this. To make sure you get everything filled out right, look through some divorces till you find one similar to yours. Get a copy and change all the information for your divorce. Good luck!
