Thumbs up Antiquing in Bardstown

I know we have talked a little about Bardstown - lodging, things to do , etc. - but has anyone been lately and noticed the wonderful new antique shops ?

I went yesterday to investigate renting a booth, and was amazed at how much things had boomed in town. It's been a while since I was there - really paying attention to the shops - so I could barely believe the hustle and bustle. It reminded me of a small section of New York City I once visited. Everyone walking, visiting shop to shop, and the whole town - from St. Joe's, around the circle and to 3rd Street was so alive and wonderful!

I found a great little shop (well, not exactly little) just past 5th street called 'Fergies' (on West Stephen Foster), where the prices are so affordable and the quality exquisite.
I decided immediately to rent a booth there, and will be moving in on Tuesday!

I know many from other states often ask about places to go and things to do - if you haven't been to Bardstown lately, go quickly!

Just wanted to share - and when I get my booth set up "Seashore Antiques and More" (if I can't get to Florida, I'll bring it here! ) let me know if you go by to visit. So much is within walking distance, and I am really impressed with how much things have changed.

Happy Antiquing, ya'll!!
