Unhappy Driving Tour

Any place in particular I should look at for a place to relocate too? I would like a place on the river........preferably historical in nature with a thriving downtown. I do have to work for about 15 more years, but can pretty much transfer with my job. I don't want to have to move again when I retire......UGH!

I do love to walk, and bike ride so greenways, and squarely set neighborhoods keep it fun and interesting, so does having water nearby.

I also love hanging out at privately owned coffeeshop/used bookstore type establishments, as well as maybe concerts in the park, a jazz club! I am an older single lady so schools are not of utmost importance, but a nice college nearby for classes would be awesome. Can't have everything though! or can I?

Anyhow........As I said, I would like to tour some places I would eventually like to relocate too. So, I thought I would look at some places in KY. I would probably drive up from NC, and maybe do a circle type thing.

Are there any places like I mentioned that I should be SURE, NOT to miss?

Because I have been to other places, and taken tours and when I got home, I had missed some places I forgot to see.....

How about some of the other places in KY on the river, do any of the others have what I am looking for ? I can take like a little circle tour!

And not sure if I can still rent for $425 in Louisville for a studio!, and if it would be in a good area. Or pick up a house for $100,000 or less.

Default Look at Henderson

Henderson fits your criteria perfectly. It's a mini-metro or a house in the woods, or a look over the Ohio, maybe the Green River. Good taxes and lower utility rates.

I lived there for some of my happiest years from 1979 to 1991
