Interesting... crime map of most US cities
I'm am now very worried about going to Nashville next weekend... they have had so shootings (inc homicide by gun) in the past TWO MONTHS I CAN EVEN COUNT THEM ALL! Louisville has only had 13 shootings in the same time period.

That Nashville map HAS to be wrong. Memphis is traditionally the crime winner of the state of Tennessee and the map shows Memphis with almost nothing compared to Nashville. My wife come from Nashville and her family is still there. We get every Nashville TV station living here in Murray and I never see that much crime compared to what is shown on the map. It is skewed somehow.

I guess it is easier to kill someone rather than to let it go or to deal with it like an adult. Some peoples kids I tell ya they think they know it all and that the world owes them something. WRONG!!!!

Crime is also going up because our economy is tanking, but some people like to wear blinders so they don't have to face the truth. When gas reaches $7.00/gallon, it will be mass chaos.

The map for Nashville must be showing for the whole year or something... still it seems that violent crime happens all over the place there, whereas violent crime in Louisville is concentrated in a few areas (West End and inner South End), with 80% of the city being very safe.
I'm going to Nashville next weekend, hopefully w/o getting robbed or carjacked
Crime rates vary a lot based on the age of a population. Crime was outrageous in the US from the 1960s to 1990s because we had a high percent of males from age 15 to 30 (who commit a vast majority of crime). Today that age group is a much smaller percent of the population, and would be tiny if not for Hispanics.

Well according to the icons and the map they has not been a single arrest in Louisville from 3/18 to 5/18 ... I find that a little hard to believe. These maps are handy but I think they rely on local reporting, which seems to not being done in Louisville.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe the number of shootings in Nashville is accurate. I think there must be a reporting problem somewhere.
