I just moved here from GA last Sat. I love it here in Murray. It is a great town! I am a single mom and the school systems, city and county are very good. I am very pleased.

There are downsides to everywhere...you are correct. If you are coming from Phoenix, then Mayfield will be a perfect fit...just ALOT smaller.

I was talking about how Phoenix has been long known for growth (in population, businesses, etc) and that Mayfield recently is growing on a MUCH MUCH, smaller scale. They are getting new businesses, and I believe their population is increasing, although it may be small, which is a good sign for the Jackson Purchase area of Kentucky. Most towns in the JP are losing population. Although I live in Murray (25 miles to the east of Mayfield) I would probably choose Mayfield if I had to live another town/city in the JP.
