You know...like the one's in Mizzou and Tennessee. I mean, I only have to drive 6 miles to the Tennessee state line to buy them, but it would be easier for everyone if they just leagalized them here.

So many things are backwards in this state to begin with, I don't predict this will happen for a long time in Kentucky.

Hopefully never, fireworks are very dangerous. Kids love fireworks and lots of injuries happen every year because of fireworks. Tennessee can keep them for all I care. Those big ones they sell in Tennessee are the really dangerous type. I guess I feel this way because my uncle lost his eye when he was little due to fireworks. I say let the professionals deal with them at the shows that most towns around the state have around July 4th.

Why would you EVER give a kid fireworks? When properly handled, fireworks can be fun and safe. My question is why can't Kentucky get their law changed? You know how many millions this state loses out on each year to the border states? Sounds like the casino's. No wonder we are nickled and dimed to death here.

I don't think there are many lawmakers that want to run the risk of getting this law change. It could be seen as irresponsible and then someone gets hurt and they get blamed...you know how that goes.

I just drive over to MO and get them, it's not that far and the tax is cheaper. Last year it was to dry to shoot anything off, to great of a risk of fire. Hopefully this year will not be as dry.

I agree with you Kentuckydad. (Did I just say that?? lol) I wish they would make them legal here in Kentucky. When still living in Union County we had to drive to Evansville, In to get good fireworks. Now, in Cadiz, if I decide to buy any we'll hop off I-24 in Clarksville. It would be nicer if we could buy them locally.
