After over 2 years unemployment (I spent 1 going back to school) I will be moving and starting a new job around Hebron and I am glad I found this forum because I am going to have a lot of questions. So with that...
Living Arrangements: Eventually I would like to live rural/out in the sticks but with my bills accumulated over the past 2 years I’m not sure if I will be able to afford the permanent "New Reality" dream house property I want BUT my compensation package is far better than I expected after so many rejections in the year long job search since graduating again so I might be able to swing a townhouse or condo rather than rent.
The 7 year old $110,000 condo’s I was living in between Ann Arbor and Detroit in a good middle class area are down as low as $30,000, not damaged but gutted of everything the previous owner could unbolt and take right down to thermostats.
Is there great deals like this within a 20 mile radius of Hebron?
What can I expect to pay for a better 2 bedroom condo or townhouse in the area right now in a decent area. One that doesn’t feel too much like an apartment? Under 100k, quite a bit more?
I’m a 45 year single professional WASP male with no kids so schools or close to bars aren’t important. Bike paths maybe
Any good realtors out there?
