Default Kentucky for Me?

Hi.

I currently live in Richmond, VA and am looking for a change of pace. I'm 35, single, and in commercial lending. I've been seriously contemplating moving to Colorado, but this winter has me backing off of that some.

So, I'm wondering about KY. Are the summers any better than here in VA? I really hate the VA heat and humidity.

I'm also really looking for a slower pace of life---somewhere that I can still have a job that pays well enough to support myself.

Also, which cities would be best for a mid-30s single. I'm not into the bar scene at all, nor am I religious. I'd be looking for outdoor activities and things like that.

Any advice or thoughts appreciated.

Check around the Lexington area for the lifestyle you are speaking of. I believe you may like that genre better than Louisville. Perhaps even Paducah.

But, yes, the humidity here is horrible in the summer. It's the whole Ohio River Valley thing. The air just doesn't flow. You can take a shower, walk outside and walk right back in and need another!

Other than that, the weather changes so often, you really don't have time to hate it for long!

Welcome, if you decide to move this way!

The Lexington area is a great area. It is big enough to have everything at your fingertips and seems like what you are looking for. There are many parks, and it's close to the Red River Gorge. Great outdoor fun!!
