Cool Bardstown diversity

I'm thinking of moving to Bardstown. I'm wondering how culturally accepting BArdstown really is. I'm the single parent of a biracial child and am curious if this would be a smart move for us. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

I really don't think it would be an issue in Bardstown.

Bardstown has a relatively large African American community...and many bi-racial families.

No issues at all, in that regard.

Now, if you want to actually DO something in the town, that's another story :-)

You shouldn't have any issues. I wouldn't worry.

I am from Bardstown, moved away over 30 yrs ago. I am going back to visit family in Aug. I will ask. I am ashamed to say some of my family is prejudiced but when it comes to a child, I don't think they could treat a child any differently.

I see so many biracial couples and children now in Btown, I would think people would be used to it. I would think people would be too afraid of a lawsuit to discriminate these days.

It is sad you have to ask but I know you want the best for your child. I hope you have a positive experience. Let us know what happens.
