Looking for inpatient treatment center
I have been searching for an inpatient alcohol rehab center for my cousin. He has lived in Bowling Green for the past 2 yrs. and had several relapses. I think he might do better to be closer to his family who live south of Louisville. He has no money right now but may have a little from a small insurance settlement in a few months.
Any recommendations of centers near Elizabethtown, Lexington or Louisville? Direct messages are welcome.

Thanks, Jim. I'd was surprised at the lack of response--so suprised at the lack of centers. Guess it is easier to throw people into jail than treat them.

This one is the best in the state:
Jefferson Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center
Seven Counties Services
600 South Preston Street
Louisville KY 40202
Phone: (502) 583-3951
They have lots of experience and it is located in the state's largest and most prominent medical center. They are good at helping people like your cousin.

Yeah JADAC (what STX posted) is great. I have had a relative have to use it and it worked wonders.

I am looking for an inpatient rehab center within a 4-5 hour drive from Charleston, WV. This is for a friend of mine who is in total denial re: alcoholism. If there is anyone out there who could give me suggestions to make this persoon agree to seek help. He seems to be under the disillusion everyone else has a problem but him? Thanks.

The sad fact is you can't MAKE him seek help; he has to come upon that decision on his own. The desire for change has to come from within and if he doesn't think there's a problem, there's little chance he'll seek treatment.
