You have two hospitals in Paducah. Then there's Hopkinsville, Mayfield, Murray, and also Henderson.
Paducah has good hospitals and so does Murray.

I'm not sure I'd take my dog to Jackson Purchase in Mayfield.

I'll have a look at Owensboro. Another place we've seen some decent tracts of land for sale is in Cadiz. Know anything about that area?
I think you should go further west, to the Wickliffe, Columbus, or Hickman areas. Then you could be right by the magnificent Mississippi River!!!!!!!

Both my parents have been patients there a few times and have received great and fast care and service.

We just spent 4 days in Western KY and stayed near Grand Rivers. Grand Rivers is one of the few places I'd live in Western KY - what a beautiful place - small but very much a resort feeling. I was shocked at Paducah - so many nice shops and restaurants have gone out of business - several closing this month....at the rate it is going, it will be a ghost town in a few years.

Same goes for the Jackson Purchase in Mayfield ... glad KYGMan's folks got good care that is the exception and not the rule I know of several pending law suits at JPMC and I'm not a advocate to suing but two case I know of are purely gross negligence on the part of the hospital.

Shoot Morgan-Hauge had to file bankruptcy due to the lack of business.

I'd take my chances at Murray before I'd go to JPMC.

If you don't mind being 20-25 min from major businesses in several directions, Hickman has some great houses in the historic district " Old Hickman" Great neighborhood ,views of the Mississippi River and real low prices. I moved there from Florida and love it!
