That isn't a usual occurrance in KY, though.

We are in the process of purchasing property in Caneyville, too. The closing is in 2 weeks, we hope. The current owner said that they were iced in for over 2 weeks and without electricity for almost 3 this winter. He's cleared all the felled trees over most of the property but there are still some down in the thickly wooded area. We'll have about 39 acres, about 15 of which are wooded. We will use the property as a second home until hubby retires in a few years. It is so peaceful there...just what we're seeking.
