Smile Need info. on schools in the Monticello and Somerset area public vs. private christian

I really need some inside input on the schools in the Monticello and Somerset area. My husband and I recently moved to Kentucky from Texas and we have a 5 yr. old daughter who will be starting kindergarten, so good schools are at the top of our list. We love boating and had all intentions of living around the Lake Cumberland area, however I have read some negative information on the forum about the schools that has me a little at odds. I couldn't find much info. about the Wayne County schools, which I am really curious about since we have looked at several homes that are in Monticello. Also, I would love to hear about any good private schools in the area as well. Do you find this area to be a good place to raise children. We've narrowed our selection down to the Lake Cumberland area and Fort Thomas in northern KY. I realize they are very far apart and very different, but my husbands job allows us the freedom to consider these areas. Each area has it's pros and cons for us and I'm trying to make a final choice to focus on. I have found this forum to be so helpful in our relocation process. We have now pretty much ventured to visit about every city and area that has been respectfully mentioned on the KY forum and it has been a great adventure! Thanks to everyone in advance!

I know of a few Christian Schools in Somerset, but don't know about any in Monticello. In Somerset there's Victory Christian and Saline Christian. Can't think of the other ones. I think Somerset would be a great area to have a family. There's Lake Cumberland, the new Water Park, a mall, lots of churches.
