UofL vs NKU
I am deciding between the two, im not sure which is better. I am comfortable in the northern kentucky/cinci area because I have been several times. However, Louisville looks so fun and a good place to stay 4 years of my college life at. So this question is based for for residents of the area. If you had the option of choosing which would it be and why? Also just to add in, is it just me or do the people that live in Cinci rude?

the difference between the two campuses is pretty large. while nku is in more of a suburban setting, uofl is very urban and located in the mix of the city. i prefer uofl only because i like the urban setting. at uofl, you are close to all the downtown amenities including the waterfront park, 4th street live, etc. i currently go to the university of oklahoma and it's a very suburban campus. it is very nice and suburban campuses tend to be more aesthetically pleasing, but i think it all depends on your taste of location. both campuses are also experiencing an enrollment/building boom.

If you do chose U of L, I'd HIGHLY recommend living on campus. There are lots of different on campus apartments (both single & double occupancy). I have commuted to campus from both The Highlands and even lived just 3 blocks up in Old Louisville, and I am moving on campus this fall, you simply can't experience college to its fullest commuting. I could drive to the stadium parking lot in 10 minutes from The Highlands, but it took another 15 minutes waiting for the bus and then walking across campus from the student center
U of L (Med or Belknap Campus) is only 10-15 minutes from The Highlands or Frankfort Ave, and some new coffee shops and restaurants are now opening along Preston Street just East of Campus

Absolutely! With any college.
I think the landscape of the two schools has been laid out pretty well. As far as rudeness in the Cincy area, I might agree with you a tad. My own daughter will actually attend NKU this fall. It was her first pick... not mine. I find the school very large like... similar to dealing with UK which is twice as large. Their website is difficult to navigate and you can easily spend 30 minutes trying to find and then reach the appropriate office for a matter. They don't communicate nearly as much as other schools with paper and use their website for many things.... which might not be too bad if it was easier to use! I don't find the people personable or overly friendly. The school just has a much larger feel to it in every way than I think a school it's size should or that others it's size does.

Those are just the transplants from Ohio. They're grumpy 'cause they can't pronounce "y'all" correctly.
