Default Adjustment; Eastern vs Northern Kentucky

Hey guys, I live in a small town in Eastern Kentucky. As much as people take pride in there small towns, I look at it a diffrent way. To me eastern Kentucky is hard to get out of if your young, and college is one of few ways out. No disrespect but a lot of dreams deminish here. I am going to be attending NKU, I know the whole culture is diffrent, in every way. What are some tips that you guys can give me to adjust to my new home. Anything will help me.

Thank You All!

As a former Eastern Kentuckian now attending NKU, I have found adjusting pretty easily. I lived in a small town in South-Eastern KY where everyone knew who you were. Now I still find it almost the same. The only adjustments that I had to make was living near a large city like Cincinnati. There is more to do and I just recommend getting out and doing things you couldn't do before. Live the college life and make a bunch of friends. College is supposed to be the best time of your life. Get involved as much as you can so you don't get bored.
