Murray, KY
Does anybody know how the job scene is for administrative positions in Murray? What are the possibilities of finding employment in one of the antique shops in Hazel or Murray?

To be quite honest, unless you know someone, you are not getting that kind of job in Murray. You have to be in the "good-ol' boy" network.

I know all about the good-ol boy network living here in alabama. Would it be possible to get a job at the hospital as a nurse? What about pella and briggs & stratton?

Not sure about the higher-end positions of Pella, but they are always (it seems) to be hiring for line jobs. Briggs used to be 24-hour operation and now I think it is down to two shifts. I may be wrong though. Pella would be the better route.
The hospital is ALWAYS hiring nurses. They are in the middle of putting in a sizable addition onto the hospital, so fairly soon they will be hiring even more.

Not too many jobs here in Murray, unfortunately. Love the town, though. The people are nice and the cost of living is very decent (unless you get an overpriced apartment from Venture or something). This is not an official estimate, but it seems like most small families can survive on around $30k a year, but I would secure a job BEFORE you move here.
