I doubt that there are very many who object to his ethnicity. His politics are troubling, however. Very far to the left. I agree with censusdata's assessment of this - Kentucky Democrats are more of the blue dog type, rather than the far-left politics type. Exceptions will occur, of course.

If that had happened we would all be paying 10 dollars a gallon for gas because our evil suv ways are bad for the environment and cause global warming. Gore would have put solar panels in the rose garden. If we can't blame the present governor for this mess because someone else made it then we can't blame President Bush for 9/11 and the trouble in the Middle East because Clinton failed to destroy the escalating terrorist cells in the Middle East...instead he was too busy trying to hide his lies and improper behavior in the oval office. He let the Sudan release Bin Laden instead of putting an end to this nonsence once and for all.

I'd imagine it's not an issue for most people, but the fact that even some people said it was is discouraging.

timeless child I do believe we have a little thing called freedom of speech in this country if I am not mistaken? ....and until I am told otherwise I will voice my opinion, you may not agree with me, but dont tell me to leave but then again that is the arrogance that the republican party is based on eh?

I don't know about the republican party or the democratic party; I don't belong to either one. This thread started as only marginally related to the state of Kentucky; however, it did have some relation to Kentucky voting patterns. OK, fair enough. After that, it went into partisan politics, majority/electoral college votes, and that really isn't specific to Kentucky.
Whatever, you want to rant about that, it's OK with me. I just thought I would mention that there is an actual political forum.

Yes it is specific to Kentucky in the fact that IF the man who the AMERICAN PEOPLE ELECTED had taken the white house in 2000, WE, the citizens of Kentucky would NOT be in this budget crunch that we are

BTW, guess who just said this:
"Senator Obama a couple of days ago said that we ought to all inflate our tires, and I don't disagree with that. The American Automobile Association strongly recommends it."
The answer? John McCain.
