Default Public access to River around Somerset

Are there usually public access entry points in the subdivisions along the Cumberland river.?

I see lots of homes within sight of the river (lovely) but don't know if there are trails and open areas for walking. I know it all depends on the exact situation but any info is helpful.

Thanks! New names to google and dream about.

I know I don't want to be right at the marina, too active, and don't need a boat dock of my own, but don't really know what the perfect spot would be.

I've never even been to Kentucky so I need to make a reconnoitering trip soon.
