You guessed correctly! The ACT test results would be the best evaluator of all schools.

You are dead on. This is an important point because with the exception of Manual, private Louisville high schools are BY FAR (read no comparison) the best schools in the state in terms of ACT, SAT, and college scholarships earned. I changed the title of the thread for this reason.


Also, it is not surprising that over 75% of the list is in Louisville, Lexington, or NKY. More educated, wealthier people live in cities. Higher paying jobs are in cities. These people have children that will excel in school more and more actively involved parents in general.

What the writer fails to mention, and to me is a serious gaff, is that Louisville, Lexington, and NKY also are far more represented in the bottom of the state list of schools than they are at the top. This means that some form of student assignment discrimination is in fact real.
