Not much since Tates Creek made the list
I had a professor at LCC (now CKTCC) who said if they put a barbed wire fence around TCHS Lexington would have a new juvenile prison.

You do know what the composite score of the ACT is, right? It's completely objective, related to achievement on a nationally-recognized test. It isn't the sort of thing that can mean different things to different people.
There's only one thing these numbers CAN mean. They are a breakdown of ACT scores, and show which high schools' students happen to have achieved the highest composite scores on the ACT.

All but 3 or 4 are in the Louisville, Lexington, NKY metros. That is disheartening (but not at all suprising). With the bad rap that Lexington public schools get on here, I'm kind of suprised to see so many of the high schools in the list. Is Bryan Station the only public high school in Fayette Co that is missing?
If you go to the link and look at the schools, it is really sad to look at so many that have averages of 14, 15, 16... 14 is incredibly low. I think you might be able to just put "C" on every answer and get about a 12.

Well it seems like they have some smart kids in that juvenile prison to have an average above 20! Remember, every junior in the high school took the test. I applaud the teachers and administration of every high school that made the list. I especially applaud Tates Creek for showing the world that they can also compete...regardless of what so called professors say about it.
And no, my children don't go to Tates Creek, nor do I know anybody who does. I'm just proud of them...and the rest of the great schools in Fayette County.

If you look at the schools in the top bracket of 18.9 to 24.8 it gives a better representation of schools over the state and paints a much better picture.

Tates Creek did have the ACE program and now IB. This probably helps.

Just outside, my alma mater of Murray High School with 20.1 and a rank of 22.
And just to be fair, the "other" school in Calloway County scored about where I thought they would be; 18.2 rank of 86. Good job at being BELOW average!!!
Clearly you can see where the smart kids of Murray/Calloway County go to school!!! We live in the county school district and will be paying tuition to send him to Murray Ind. when the time comes.

These are also for juniors in high school, and it is mandatory that they take the test. The senior scores are much higher because they've covered 33% more coursework and typically only people interested in college even take the exam. The senior scores should be used since everyone taking the test will actally try. Those juniors that are being forced to take the test can't try very hard.
