Default Jailhouse pizza Brandenburg

Has anyone eaten there? My great-grandpa was the jailer there in the 40's and my mammaw (great-grandma) did the cooking for the inmates

I own the jail in Brandenburg and would love to sit down and talk to you. I have a lot of history of the jail but I would like to one day have it as a musuem. I just flew up to DC to take a look at the musuem that they have next to the capital. I can be reached at valerieables@yahoo.com or by phone at 502-593-8866. Thank you

I ate at the jailhouse as soon as it opened and was disappointed. My family is originally from Meade County and I drove two and a half hours so my grandparents and I could sit in the jail and soak in the history. The atmosphere is certainly amazing but the food is poor, and not reasonably priced at all.

My grandfather was arrested in the forties for public intoxication and you can now dine in the cell in which he was detained.

My Mamaw probably cooked for your grandpa and my PePaw was probably the jailer during that time too

my husband & i came upon the jailhouse pizza today. Omg this place is awesome. The food is fantastic and so is the service and the history that is still intact in this building is absolutely awesome and breath taking. For the owners to keep this history alive is so overwhelming. We were just amazed that they were able to save so much. This is definitely a place to take young children for them to get a great history lesson. I applaude the owner for such a great job and for wanting to bring back the history of that area. We will definitely be back and this will be a spot i will want to share with my family, especially grandchildren when they come to visit. Take off and go check out jailhouse pizza then take a peaceful walk thru park and along river. I had a very wonderful unexpected date as i call it with my hubby today thanks to this area. And who could not use a little r & r. This is the place to do it.
