Just moved from there after over 25 years. Glad you have a job. The Rayloc plant that rebuilds NAPA parts, is closing soon. Big coal mine is opening some more jobs though. Are you wanting an apartment? House? In town or out? Morganfield is your typical small town. Somebody asked me one time what people around there do on weekends. I said "They leave". Chain restaurants are Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Long John Silvers (GREAT breakfast at LJS!), and Subway. There are a couple nicer restaurants in the area.We have a Super Walmart and a locally owned grocery in town plus a Food Giant in Sturgis. No movies, except to rent. If you want to go to a show it's either Evansville, In. or Harrisburg, Ill. Quite a few people rather go to Harrisburg to a movie because it's 40 miles away and not all the traffic that Evansville has. There's a couple of apartment complexes in Morganfield and a couple in Sturgis, 10 miles down the road. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. Just let me know what you're looking for. It's a nice town!
