PVA Records in Clark, Madison, & Montgomery Counties
Are there online KY sites to research property taxes, purchase prices, etc. by address? We moved to KY from FL & OH (both states have online public sites). Please HELP!

Well, I feel about stupid!! I thought that link had them all. Anyway, here is Clark Co: Clark County Kentucky PVA Montgomery Co: Montgomery County PVA
I don't have a link through the "Realtor Only" side of LBAR for Madison Co, but here is a number you can call. I am sure they can give you the name of the site:

Madison County doesn't have a PVA. Well, actually it does, but the office has been held by a father and son for decades and they have not upgraded beyond the 1960's change from Tax Commissioner to Property Valuation Administrator (PVA). I found this out looking for the PVA in 2004, but even the sign to his office in the courthouse says Tax Commissioner.
In my research, only homes inside Richmond had photos on their property cards.
Oh well, at least there is still room for progress in Kentucky.

Thank you for the info on Madison County... We are interested in purchasing a home but the owners do not know the age of the home. Will the tax commissioner have this info or can I review the property cards? Not sure what they will release, etc.

Most of these free PVA sites have very limited information. Most of them have a pay option, usually around $25 a month, that contains much more detailed information.

By law, they are required to release any information they have. You may have to go by the PVA's office, but most are most happy to be of service to you. |
