Cincinnati, Louisville, or Lexington?
Vote for which city you prefer the most.
If you care, you can explain your choice for most favorite city of the three. You may even list why you like or dislike any of them. Consider variables such as, for example, people/friendliness, arts/culture, traffic, urban vibrancy, "things to do."
(I just posted this in the Cincinnati forum, also.)

As someone from Ohio, I choose Louisville. Blows Cincy away.

Louisville is city on the rise (Cincy the opposite). That, and the fact that I am a born and raised Louisvillian...I have to pick Louisville.

Lexington has by far the best economy of the 3, it also has TERRIBLE traffic problems and much fewer 'hip' urban neighborhoods.
Cincinnati has a very dense/ urban downtown, great skyline, very educated population, and the most museums/ cultural attractions of the 3, plus pro sports
Louisville has the best urban restaurant/ shopping corridors (Bardstown Rd, Frankfort Ave), best park system, and has more of small town feel than Cinci or LEX IMO (few traffic problems, historic areas don't feel as super urban as Cinci). Also has one of the least educated populations of any US metro area, major economic divisions btw sides of town, and has more parking lots downtown than a Wal Mart.
IMO, I'd rather go to school in Louisville and live in Cincy or Lex after graduating

Based on paper proposals, Louisville is a city on the rise... I'll be a believer when Musuem Plaza isn't just a vacant crater, the new arena isn't just a pile of ruble, and City Centre isn't just a parking lot. Outside of U of L (which has built has/ is building 5 new buildings downtown), the only new things downtown recently is 4th Street Live, a new Marriott, and the Ali Center
The Kentucky side of Ciny is booming with new condos and Newport Aquarium/ on the Levee. Cincy is currently building a new tallest building as well

I do fear for L'villes manufacturing hubs. Me thinks it would be real hard on the local economy if Ford shut that plant down.
I am now living in L'ville and previously lived in Lexington most of my years. Tough to really choose b/c each has its own qualities.
I am not really into the No KY/Cinci area. Ok for a ball game but it doesn't feel like KY as soon as you hit the Florence area.

I think Cincy/ NKY people are friendly and down to earth, but they are definatly NOT culturally anything like the rest of the state.
For me Louisville is the most Kentucky of Kentucky's cities because it hasn't had as many out of state transplants and has retained more of its own culture created by generations of Western/ South Central KY immigrants. Whereas Lexington - sometimes I feel like I'm already in Ohio or Pennsylvannia . Lex is also much more materialistic and class/ race sensitive than the rest of the state IMO
