I voted for Obama, but expected this outcome. Too many outside factors for many Dems to win here. Anywho, McCain is toast.

No, McCain is a class act that actually has the countries best interest at heart.

Jefferson and Fayette Counties don't surprise me.
Henderson County does and doesn't surprise me at the same time. It's a rural, quiet, and (I thought) rather conservative county that is just stagnant. The city of Henderson, however, does incorporate sexual orientation into its anti-discrimination hiring policy; one of the few in the state.
Hancock Co., as well as the counties around Morehead, just surprise me as going in favor of Obama.
On another interesting note, traditionally dyed-in-the-wool Frankfort/Franklin Co. went McCain. The far eastern coal counties (i.e.: Floyd, Pike) and the western coal county of Muhlenberg, all of which went to the blue camp in 2004, voted overwhelmingly for McCain this time around. (Might it have something to do w/ that interview he gave to the editorial board of the San Francisco Chronicle? Hmmmm, hmmmmm?)

That's nice. Why is it that if someone has an opinion that doesn't match up with someone else's they feel the need to put the other person down? Why not just recognize that people view things through their own world view. So much for appreciating diversity of thoughts and opinions.
As I try to teach our son "don't pull yourself up by putting someone else down".

You're waaaay too smart for us, Tom. Why don't you leave and take up residence with the other hip and "progressive" people. Nobody, including myself, will lose any sleep over your departure.
