Default Williamsburg

G' Morning! To me, this is one of the most fun areas of Ky, if you enjoy nature and history! This area is home to Cumberland Falls (with the moonbow), KY Splash Park, Cumberland College, and loads of shops, cafes, etc.

Here's a nice link that shows just how much there is to do-

http://www.williamsburgky.com/

Both Williamsburg and Whitley are close to Tennesee (the beauty of the Smokie Mountains is overwhelming), and located close to I 75 for easy travel.
Here's a few more links I think you'll enjoy

If I were planning to move, this area would be a very big consideration. I would suggest a visit, especially in April when everything is blooming. You won't want to leave! ~joanna~

I think you inadverdently picked our location as where to relocate.

My wife's heart is set on eastern Tennessee while i am set on anywhere in the Harlan County hollers,(between Harlan and Cumberland,Benham and Lynch) but we decided to 'settle' in the middle of those two areas.

Williamsburg may be it!

Thanks for the info!

You're so welcome! I'm pretty proud of my state (as you can see) and love to share info on it. Welcome to KY!

Kichen - you naled it again!! I love visiting those areas! If you truly want a feel for 'old Kentucky' that is the place to go.

You know, I was driving a friend through Bardstown the other day - and while showing her 'My Old Kentucky Home', the pride I have always had just grew and grew. I honestly had to step back and take it all in AGAIN - as living here sometimes makes us take for granted what we have.

To anyone considering a move here - I honestly do not think there is a friendlier state!
