110 are being laid off immediatly (out of 800 workers), with more cuts possible in the future. Corvette sales are down 53% this year

I can relate to this article, love the Corvette...but also can relate to laying off, some folks can hardly pay their monthly bills, let alone buy a new car, corvette at that...Hopefully short term. for the employees of Bowling Green Corvette......

It's not that it's so much Corvette as it is GM not being able to build a decent car. The Corvette is the only decent car they have left. I keep hearing about the Chevy Volt coming out in a couple more years. Let's just hope GM is around in a couple more years. It's a sad/scary day to be a GM worker.

As a huge Corvette fan, I really hate to hear this. I also hate to hear of anyone losing their job.

I know sales are terrible.

I am not sure how accurate your topic is, "lays off hundreds"...they are laying off 110 employees, which is bad news but not exactly hundreds.
