Nick's Sports Pub
Tumbleweed
Applebee's
Cracker Barrel
Ryan's
Sirloin Stockade
August Moon
Los Portales
Tom's Pizza
Big Apple
J. Edwards
Coldwater BBQ
Holmes Family Restaurant
Huddle House
Jasmine's (Thai)
The Keg (BBQ)

These are the one's I can think of off hand. Sirloin Stockade is a wonderful place to eat. They have the usual buffet fare, but there is also a full menu of steaks, burgers, chicken, etc to choose from. I would stay away from Ryan's, but that is my opinion. Their food is not good for the money you have to pay. J. Edwards is pretty pricey, but they have good food and are always busy. They also have live music on the weekends, so does the Big Apple. Here is a site that shows you some of the local restaurants and their menu's:

MurrayMenus.Com

Hope this helps!!!

My wife and I are partial to Huddle House. It's not that expensive and the food is good. My wife likes the baked potato there. It's one of the biggest baked potatoes we've ever had in a restaurant.

Huddle House has a WONDERFUL breakfast. There are times in which you need to avoid HH however. Around 1-4 am, you will not be able to get a table. They are super-busy. One side note to HH, I hear their counterpart, Waffle House, has filed for bankruptcy and are closing alot of restaurants. I may be wrong though.

Really? The Huddle House here is never busy, at least not when I drive by there.

Thanks, will try other places next trip, looking for breakfast place with something a little more healthy, maybe fresh fruit.
It seems only larger chains like Perkins or such have more than a banana.
A low sodium and cholestrol diet gets no help most places. OleGrouch

On the weekends, Ryan's has a full breakfast buffet. They have alot of different fruits on the bar as well as the eggs and sausage, etc.

Don't know how long you've been in Murray but the last job I had there before moving ( October, '79) was the Carriage House, over on 16th. I think the campus police office is there now. I worked that 11-7 shift. We got that crowd you're talking about. Everybody wanting something to eat after the frat parties. Never a dull moment! lol
