Actually, most of us in Western Kentucky never thought that much about BG, it was there. Many of us went to school there and before KY Kingdom there was Beech Bend Park.
I second that, mostly. It's mostly not like west Ky., but shares a few small WKY traits.

People from western Ky. consider B.G. part of southcentral Ky. People fron eastern Ky., on the other hand, just consider B.G. part of western Ky. It just depends on perspective.

Bowling Green is not a coal-storied town like Madisonville, Central City, or Providence. It's not a former boom town on the river like Owensboro or Paducah. There is a lot of corn, wheat, soy, and cattle in rural Warren Co. immediately outside of the City of B.G. But, B.G. has more of a "suburbany/exurbany" feel due to its steady growth and proximity to Nashville. Got all that?

Correct that's because it's all talk and you get there and it's like ... this is it?

Moonlite IMHO is highly overrated, I grew up in Handerson and it was overrated 30 years ago and still is today. I always have friend that want to go there because of the "talk" but they to get there and say "this is it ... whats the big deal?"

So yeah it's political ... it's all hype but fails to deliver.

You are OUT of your mind, rofl!

But I will forgive you, you must have been raised on either Thompson's or Peak Brothers or Wolf's.

Moonlite is great BBQ, and the ONLY place I know of to get good mutton. Sure places here in Hendo have mutton, but they don't know how to cook it right.

And Moonlite is THE ONLY place to get good burgoo, IMO.

If the people in O'boro were willing to elect progressive leaders it would actually be a great place. I know the city is boring and the people are fake backcountry folks. I am moving out of state in July. But there is more to the city than meets the eye. It does have more of a community feel than BG.Also, BG is not in western Kentucky. It's in central KY. The main reason people in the eastern and central parts of the state think BG is in western Kentucky is that they think the western border of the state is I-65. They don't care about any part of Kentucky west of that line. Even though I'm an Owensboroan, I'm more focused on BG being overrated than O'boro being underrated. Admit it folks, if it weren't for WKU and I-65, Bowling Green would still exist but it would just be a forgotten village surrounded by farmland.

London and Somerset are not exactly underrated. Many think of it as nice areas of the state.
