I have a cousin who lives in Los Angeles who is very anxious to return to her homeland in Muhlenberg County. She has several cats and dogs. Anyone with ideas on where to go? She is elderly but in good health.

Do a google search for Muhlenburg County. There you should find a list of info from the county seat. etc. If you know the exact city she wishes to return to - look for it on City-Data's mainpage. You can google the city name, and our info should pop up . On thtat page, you will find a list of realtors in that area.
Also, once you have the name of the city, you can look up the local newspaper - which will give you a listing of classifieds for rentals, houses for sale in the area.

God love her - so glad she is coming home. If you need help with your search - please send me the city name and I will see what I can come up with.

I thought Mr. Peabody's coal train had hauled it away! That's what John Prine told me, I've never been there.

That song comes to mind every time I here 'Muhlenburg' - I can't get it out of my head! "Daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenburg County, down by the Green River, where Paradise lays....I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking...Mr.Peabody's coaltrain has hauled it away...

Beautiful Bluegrass music...

Anyway...
It was a huge mining area at one time - when you travel down the Western KY Pkwy - you can still see what remains of some of the strip mine areas.

Amazing...

Martha - I hope the info given earlier has helped you in your search - if not -please let me know and I will keep looking.
