The spousal unit has been after me to put up the Christmas lights outside. I wasn't quite in the mood to untangle the mess, so here ya go...

I loved the picture. One year my husband decided to put up the icicle lights. This included a peaked roof. It took all day and he ended up stapling his finger. The lights looked great. Our house could probably have been seen from the moon. We have since moved and in a new neighborhood. The young couple across from us put up the icicle lights last year. We laughed remembering our experience. We this year looking across the street we see a couple of nicely lit trees and a tasteful wreath. Guess they felt the way we did that one year. Never again.

I'm so glad my husband didn't see that picture before I had him put up our lights!

Seriously though, I don't do much decorating outside of the house, but the inside is well done. The wife & I work hard on setting the right Christmas feeling with the tree & lights as well as scent. When you step inside the house it smells like Christmas! Fireplaces are garnished, candles lit, and misletoe is strategicaly placed.
The most important thing is our beliefs, family, and the celebration of all our blessings.

I would have had my dhs hide if he had done that. but then again it is better than what he put up this year.....nothing. I did decorate the inside though.

Looks like something my DH would do. That's why we never hang lights - only a wreath lit on the front door.
