You need to look at Cadiz, KY (Trigg County!
Small, friendly town with Barkley Lake and The Land Between The Lakes.
Fantastic place to hunt, fish, hike, bike and get back to nature.
We are a great retirement community and a good place to raise kids.
Our Main St is lined with Antique Stores and annually we have The Ham Festival. We are known for the largest coutry ham biscuit.
Real estate and taxes are reasonable.
With Interstate 24 you can be in BIG towns such as Nashville, TN and Paducah, KY in about 1-1/2 hours. You can also use US68 whcih runs through Cadiz to get to larger towns in 20 minutes such as Hopkinsville, KY and Murray, KY.
If you would like more information just let me know.
Hope you have a blessed day!

Walker in KY is on a distinguished road
Default Moved From CA

We moved From CA to KY just over a year ago and love it. To be near the lakes a good choice may be Cadiz in Trigg county (Land between the Lakes) There are a lot of web sites related to this area. We chose Hopkinsville which is about 30 minutes from the lakes. There are a few places in Christian County with land for sale near a lake but these are rare. There are plenty of places to fill the balance of what you are looking for. You may want to check out the Chamber site at www.commercecenter.org. We used this information before we flew out.
