Default Favorite Bourbon

What is the favorite bourbon of the locals here?

Personally, I like Woodford Reserve for my sippin' bourbon and Old Forester for my mixin' bourbon.

I'm a former die-hard Woodford Reserve fan, too. But at a 4th of July party last year, someone served me Russell's Reserve (evidently, "Russell" is the master distiller at Wild Turkey in Frankfort). That stuff is GOOD! It's hard to find, because they bottle it in such limited quantities. I've only found one place here in Lexington that even stocks it.

Even still, I wouldn't pass up an offer of Woodford or Maker's....both very good bourbons!

Holy moley! I've not had an ALE-8-ONE in about ten years since moving back to Indiana. Great stuff...maybe I need to road trip to Winchester.
To stay on topic, I'm not a big drinker. but I'll say Makers or Wild Turkey

The only "Bourban" I consume is Bourban Street Chicken at some of KY's local gumbo eateries

I'll have to look for Russell's, I've actually never heard of it. I'm sure I can't get it down here but I might be able to find it on my next trip back home.

I found a couple of reviews of Russell's you might want to read:
Russell's Reserve 10-Year-Old Bourbon Released | BestStuff
10 Years is a Great Age - For this Wild Turkey Premium Bourbon - Russell's Reserve - Epinions.com

It's available for order online; although I know you can't ship alcohol to Kentucky, if you're living out-of-state, you may be able to have it shipped to your home. It's definitely worth looking for; in my opinion, it's the best of the best!
