Most of Murray has power back, most of Graves Co is still in the dark'

More info here
KENTUCKY - COUNTY BY COUNTY - INFORMATION - Local 6 WPSD

Some water and MRE's are being provided by the county, the Mayfield Mayor still hasn't heard from FEMA. Many people are running on generator, as ma I. I'm told I will not have power for a month. Thanks to farmer most roads have been cleared, we spend all day cutting trees out of the road.

Graves Co has 10 National Guard Troops on the ground, nearly all work and repairs are being done locally by locals, no help from the FED's.

I think the heaviest ice fell in the Graves Co area, I had nearly 3" of ice and 2" snow. I know other ares had from a 1" to 2" of ice. I'll be cutting wood most of the year just to clear my yard. With over 150 mature Oaks they were all heavily damaged and several will have to be removed.

Default Estill County

I haven't been able to locate much information about the extent of the storm in Estill County. If anyone can provide anything, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks.

Default KY ice storm

News coverage has been poor even locally. The bigger cities were less impacted. So far as I can see Hart, Edmonson, and Grayson were very hard hit. We are situated right at the corner of these 3 counties on Nolin Lake. Our power, water, and phones were down most of the week. Phones back Friday, water saturday about noon, power Sun night about 8:00 PM. We are about 1 mile in from KY Rte 88 on a private drive, and it took about 6 hr of chainsaw work to cut a trail to the road. 88 was a closed tangle of downed trees, poles, wires, transformers etc. Road was opened by Thursday, and I was able to get out for supplies. Negligible damage south of Cave City (Barren County)

It's still very bad in Grayson County- where I live. (I'm in TN at school right now though.) My parents are still without power, and they just got Leitchfield's (County seat) electricity back today. All the smaller surrounding towns, like Clarkson where I live, are still without electricity. I think they're projecting maybe another week or so?

Here's one of the CNN reports mainly about Grayson County:
