You're full of it. Give it a rest. It's really disgusting that you would troll local forums to further your anti Obama agenda. You don't care about these people, you just care about trying to blame Obama for something, anything. You're manipulating tragedy to further your agenda and it's ridiculous - even after multiple people have given personal experiences and multiple links discounting your claims.
The White House - Press Office - President Obama Speaks with Governors Beebe and Beshear; Signs Emergency Declarations for Arkansas and Kentucky
The White House - Blog Post - President Obama Declares Emergencies in Arkansas and Kentucky
Press Releases
Last night, President Obama declared federal emergencies caused by winter storms in two states, answering requests for aid from Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe and Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear.
---
Earlier this evening President Obama made phone calls to Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe and Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear about the severe winter storm in both states. The President asked the governors for updates on the situation in their states and for the status of emergency response efforts. He informed both governors that he would be signing their requests for federal aid and would declare federal emergencies in both Arkansas and Kentucky.

In the first real test of the Obama administration's ability to respond to a disaster, Kentucky officials are giving the federal government good marks for its response to a deadly ice storm.

Your governor needs to get out of the way so that all of you without supplies can get them.

Good point and one I made earlier. The governor is key to this sort of thing and so was the governor during Katrina. Put the blame where it lies.

Sorry, even FEMA cannot be everywhere at once, there will be countless thousands who do not see FEMA. That is simple logic, especially in rural areas.
God Bless those able-bodied neighbors, National Guardsmen and untold number of volunteers who are trying to help the people of Kentucky.
We lost our carport last week from the weight of the ice storm. Nearly lost our only vehicle, but common sense told me to move it about 5 minutes before it came crashing down. And we stocked up on salt, water and food prior to our ice storm last week because when our power goes down, it stays down.
And because there are only 5 or 6 customers on our rural dirt road, we are ~always~ last to get our power on. It is tough, but a person's character is readily apparent in times of adversity.
My heart does go out to the elderly and those without family or resources. We can only hope and pray for the best as the infrastructure is slowly repaired.
During the 01 ice storm here in OK, I drove 5 mph over 60 miles of icy roads to rescue my uncle who's house was a frigid 33 F. because like most elderly people, he was more worried about his pipes busting and his animals inside! I hope help comes quickly to those that need it.

In Graves Co FEMA is handing out 1 emergency meal per person, a bag of ice and some kerosene if you have a container for it, they have no water ... the meal I saw that someone had was a cookie, 3oz of tuna, a fruit cup, and some M&M's don't eat it all at once because you'll have to wait in line all day to get another one. Most everyday they run out with still with 100's of people in line.
They're handing them out at the airport, about 5-10 miles from down town so those without gas or a car can't get to them.
Tonight is going to get down to 10 degrees and not a single blanket has been handed out. Other than those provided by churches.

But the fact that it isn't happening fast enough is not President Obama's fault. That is just rediculous to even attempt to associate the two.

Thank you for telling it - the way it really is! That is absolutely outrageous! More of these people will likely die even days after the ice storm. No one has heard a word from Obama about these people in the disaster areas. Not a word! How many people have died - frozen to death? 55 with 24 in KY. If the temperature is going down to 10 degrees tonight they might as well sleep in their freezer. Where is FEMA?

I would love for the mods to just outright ban you becuase you are a flaim bait artist. You don't even dare to answer any question someone poses toward you and you don't acknowledge their counter post.
Do you wear a white cone-shaped hat in your free time?? How do you think Bush did??? We are in HIS "depression" right now you know.

Don't get upset because people are blaming Obama and his FEMA for killing people in Kentucky. Bush got blamed for literally everything for 8 years. It flows both ways! You might as well get ready!
