Default Covington for a single 30 something?

Kentucky is coming closer and closer to making my short list of places to relocate.

I'm a single gal in my mid 30s and Covington looks like it might be a good place.

I'm into New Agey stuff and there seems to be a decent presence of it there AND with the proximity to Cincinnati, it seems like a small town that still has the benefits of a big city.

What do you folks think?

Any other place suggestions?

thanks!

Covington is really more of a small city than a small town, and has the look and feel of a Cincinnati neighborhood, but one that is in better shape and probably safer than a lot of older close-in Cincy neighborhoods. The nice area there is The Point, which is right smack dab on the river, actually two rivers (Licking and Ohio), hence the name. There is also the Maine Strasse/Mutter Gottes area which is old in-town areas that are sort of gentrified in a very minor way.

For a new age/spiritual thing in the Cincinnati area with maybe a feminist angle, check out Grailville

...it might be of interest.

New Ager! is on a distinguished road
Default New Ager looking for a peaceful place in KY!

To Tewhann and KY residents:

Tewhann, I was wondering if you moved to covington yet? I am too looking to relocate somewhere in the KY area & Covington had that good feel to it. I am only going by photos and what I have heard about the place which is not much.. but I do love those older homes!.

I am into the natural healing arts, meditation, organic foods, yoga and all things natural. Oh yeah and very environmentally friendly!

I would like to know if you have found this place to be of your liking... Also are there things for us that are more geared into the metaphysical side of things?

To those of you that live there could you tell me if there are some good organic food-markets, yoga centers, new age bookstores or centers, parks, or anything else that I think compatible to my lifestyle??

In addition to Covington I had also considered Lexington or Louisville!

Or even the cmaller cities of Danville, Richmond or Bradstown. Can anyone tell me what these cities or towns would be for a "peaceful" new ager like me!! I love the smaller towns with those beautiful victorian homes.. so sweet..!!

I am not into religion but respect those that are... as long as they try NOT to change my belief system... Meaning there is no harrasment if I am more universal in my beliefs !

With that said:: how are these cities in terms of accepting someone like me...! Would I stick out like a sore thumb or would I blend in just fine??

Thanks to all and blessings!
