Shame Shame on you Diane Sawyer, you being from Kentucky and that was the best you can do. What about all the successful people that came from eastern Kentucky. I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and did not live like that and most people I know that grew up there were determined to have a better life and they did. I think the people of Ky. will think less of you now than they did before. This documentary was right up there with the "Rory Kennedy's American Hollow" story and we all hated that............

Now I think I have to watch this. I am sure I will get mad myself, but I need to see and hear this with my own eyes.

See, I just do not get this attitude...she is trying to HELP the situation, can't you see? She was not there to do anything other than shine a light on the shameful conditions a portion of our fellow Americans are living in - why do you think she insulted anyone? Don't you agree there are real HUGE problems in Appalachia?

I know a lot of extremely smart, successful people FROM eastern KY. The problem is none of them live there anymore.
