I'm a newbie as well, although I've posted some on the Austin, TX site. I've lived in Austin for almost 41 years, but am a Bourbon County girl, born in Paris, Kentucky. I lived some great childhood years there.

I like Austin a lot, probably a lot more than I used to because of my involvement in a UK message board over the past several years. It almost gives me my Kentucky fix. I realize how much I miss it though, listening to you all talk. It's a way I can identify with and feels like home.

Kentucky will never be out of my system. I'm a fifth generation Kentuckian, one generation away from roots in the Salyersville/Prestonsburg area.

Born and raised in Louisville, moved to Elizabethtown in my late teens. Have also lived in Frankfort, Berea, Raleigh-area in NC, Atlanta, GA (a city I still love), and have been blessed to call Lexington home off and on since 1989, full-time since 1999.

Although I'm not a "rabid" Wildcats fan, I have found so many wonderful aspects of Lexington and it truly feels like home to me. At this stage in the game, I'm 99% sure that this is where I'm gonna stay.

Hadn't read through here in a while. Isn't Wheel over on, or near, 121 between Mayfield and Wickliffe?

I was born in Louisville, grew up in Fordsville and Tatham Springs (near Springfield), then educated at Murray - worked in Madisonville and many areas of western Kentucky. Now I call Danville my summer home. (Twenty years in Texas has not taken away my love of Kentucky.)

Am considering Beattyville as a relocation possibility. I am currently in Montana. I like small town, I like farms and ranches, a place for a horse and my dog, a home in the outskirts of town. A place I can nest. Make my own. A Baptist church, places to ride, good scenery. A little of the four seasons. Is this anything at all like Beattyville???
