It's a nice smaller town in Hickman Co, it's in the middle of no where and the shopping is very limited. Grocery's and such will require a trip to Fulton, Mayfield or Paducah. The nearest medical is is Mayfield or Paducah. I know people in Clinton that can give you a better opinion, all of them work in Mayfield as there are very few jobs in Clinton because there are very few businesses.

It's 22 miles from Mayfield, about 20 from Fulton and 40+ to Paducah. There is not easy/quick way to get there.

Clinton is a nice, rural town. Sure you have to travel for some of your purchases but Clinton is large enough that a lot of necessity items can be bought in town. There are some good restaurants as well as other small businesses. Clinton is the largest of two towns in Hickman. The population in the county varies quite a bit in income and 'housing'. There is a significant higher percentage of the population that is over 50 than you'd find in larger, less rural communities. Hickman doesn't have any bridges across the Mississippi if that's a concern.
