Is the population still around 350? Wow! Anyhow, I'm considering a move there and I have a couple of questions. First off, I am self-employed and work from home, so job search won't be an issue for me.

Secondly, what's it like there? Really? Is it basically generational, you know, you grew there because your great-great grandparents started a legacy.

I was raised in Owensboro, moved to Evansville, IN at 19, and ready for a slow-down so to speak. I think my daughter would benefit as well. I'm recently divorced after 15 years, so it's just me and her, enough of all the hustle. Are the schools decent there? I couldn't find them on the school ranking sites.

Thank you in advance.

Grand Rivers is a touristy town with Patties there, it's small and seems like a nice place, since I don't live there and haven't lived there I can't say for sure, but I go to Patties often and there is little shops and things to do and it's not far from bigger shopping in Paducah, I have never seen anything there to say say away. It's on KY Lake so that's adds to it.

At one time they talked about trying to turn Grand Rivers into something like Gatlinburg, Tn. That kind of fizzled, but it's still a nice little town. From Evansville this will definitely be a slow down. We can't afford Patty's very often but all the little shops are nice in Patty's "Village". You'll see a whole lot more traffic through there this summer with everybody getting out on the lake and going to the LBL.
