Default Moving to KY

Hi everyone,

I am looking at a potentially nice job offer in Hopkinsville KY and would love to hear what people consider to be a nice place to live around that area. My wife and I are in our early 30's and planning on having kids soon. I am looking to be within 30-40 minute drive to Jean Stuart medical center in Hopkinsville.

I would really love some great responses from all of you nice people.

thanks

The whole area around Pyle Lane is nice. The SW side of town basically.

Cadiz is close as well if you want to be close to the lakes. If not, I would certainly look toward the south and Tennessee.

I wouldnt go no further than Exit 8 off I-24. That would be your 45 minute limit to Jenny Stuart Hospital. You have areas off Exit 1, 4 and 8. Alot of great homes available.

I agree with you on Clarksville. I find it rather depressing.

Hopkinsville's downtown is quaint, sure, but it has a surprisingly high crime rate for a town its size. It at least has University Heights Academy, an excellent K-12 private school, but that's about the only bright feature of the town. No real job growth, little residential growth, and just blah surroundings. I find Hoptown to be depressing also.

Oak Grove, KY is blah and depressing, too. Elkton, KY is alright, but there's only a Dollar General there and a few gas stations, something like 1,000 people in the town, so you'll be doing a lot of driving to just do anything, anyway.

Cadiz isn't much larger than Elkton, but you're still only 15 miles from Hoptown for work, and it's right on I-24, so you have quick and easy access to Paducah and Nashville. It's also a nice, well-kept, clean town with a lovely downtown area. I'd pick Cadiz if I were you.

IN HOME CHILD CARE is on a distinguished road
Hopkinsville is no place to raise children, I have been here for 3 years and at the end of this school year finally leaving! Schools are terrible, they have drug issues in middle school, gang issues big time! I know drugs are everywhere but it has just gotton really bad here. And don't get me started on the teachers!
