Relocating to Kentucky ...HELP!!!!
Hello everyone. I currently live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My husband is transferring to a company facility located in the Ghent, KY area. I live a suburb type life. I home school my 13 year old daughter and have an 17 year old son. I am not a "country/rural" girl, as I've worked as a paralegal in downtown Baton Rouge. This might sound crazy, but I miss "sidewalks", etc... We are shooting for Lagrange, KY. Is there any suggestions of a "townhome"/"condo" that we can rent until we find the right house?
Thank you.

Yes, there are Town homes and condo's in the LaGrange area. I do not recommend either as both place your financial future in the hands of others. For example, you move into a 10 unit condo. One or two of the owners default. This effectively makes everyone in the unit directly face the effects of foreclosure, this is anywhere in the US.

Personally I don't care for the rural parts of Northern KY at all, so either LaGrange or Boone Co would be much better options IMO.
I looked up Ghent on Google Maps, it is 33 miles from LaGrange and 32 miles from the edge of the Cincinnati suburbs in KY - basically the Richwood/ Union area

You are correct. I slipped. I am generally the one who reads so much better than I did on this thread. My apologies.
I would rather see you rent from an apartment complex. Sorta let painters paint and plumbers plumb kinda thing. However, I am not opposed to a good house/condo etc when things are well managed.
