Default Headin to Kentucky

Well, The day is almost here. We'll be leaving Friday morning from Arizona headin to Kentucky. Gonna start looking around Richmond, Danville, then Lexington on over to Louisville. Then we'll head towards Hopkinsville- Bowling Green- Nashville triangle to check that area out. Then decide where we'll live. So if you see some folks with Arizona plates lookin a little lost or driving like tourists, thats just us. Please have patience and we'll move along directly. Cant wait to get there. I told my wife if Kentucky was as pretty as Northern Alabama I would like it. She said it's 10 times prettier. Well see yall soon.

WOW, I just tried posting and it erassed the entire post, grrrrrrr. OK let me try this again.

First of all I wish you both safe travels. I grew up in AZ and now reside in Illinois, I am in the middle of a divorce and am looking at the same locations as you are however, I am also looking in North Carolina. Tough choices because they are equally beautiful and offer so many second chances to start my life over. I own an Antique store here but I specialize in Shabby-Chic and Primitive, all the stuff on the covers of the magazines. The direction you are heading offers inexpensive housing and such, I am just not sure if I could make a go of my business?

I would LOVE to be by the water, I am writing a book and the water seems to keep writers block to a minimum.

I would sincerely appreciate if you both could keep me updated on your findings along the way. I would need a store front and small living environment preferably outside of a town with a garage or storage. Maybe if you could send links to places you have seen or names of little towns with newspapers that might meet my needs, I would certainly be ever so grateful.

Please keep in touch and again Safe Travels to both of you,

Angela

Take a ride from Louisville towards NKY along US 42. The Ohio River parallels US 42 as it stretches from Louisville through Oldham Counties horse farms, then into southern Trimble and the orchards, on into Carrollton with its magnificent views of the Ohio from downtown, on up into Warsaw and then up into Covington.

Water, business, beautiful scenery... got to be considered.

Don't forget to check the Kentucky Lake/Lake Barkley area, west of Hopkinsville. You need to add more triangles to check out all parts of the state! You can start in the west, from the Mississippi River to Kentucky Lake and from Paducah to the Tennessee state line. Not exactly a triangle but good area and friendly people to check out.

Smile Danville will be the nicest location

Of all the places you mentioned, Danivlle is the best, by far. It is located in the most beautiful region, near great medical facilities, 30 minutes from Lexington, and full of very friendly people!

Have a great trip!
