My husband and I are relocating to fort knox and we are looking for exclusive buyers agent to help us find a home. Is there anyone who can recommend an excellent exclusive buyers agent?

There will be very few exclusive buyer's agents in Kentucky. I totally understand your reasoning and as a managing broker, 95% of my work when I am dealing with clients directly is buyer's agent, but then I am 75 minutes to Ft. Knox.

Default Buyer's agent

Have you thought about just using the internet to look for a house not listing with a broker and not using a buyer's agent. There are many houses out there advertised by the owners. You miss out on those when using a buyer's agent or any agent as they don't know about those by owner places. Because of today's economy, a lot of sellers are trying to sell on their own. Also realtor.com will not pick up those by owner homes either and you can negotiate on your own with good success.

Ditto to the message from B51Ranch. We are one of those sellers, looking for a venue to market our home to Fort Knox BRAC transferees. We have sold our last 2 properties without the need for a realtor (1999 and 2005). I wouldn't reccommend that for property "virgins" but otherwise, intelligent, reasonable parties can come to terms and each benefits in incredible cost savings. There are real estate purchase contracts available from many sources. Our son recently sold his home this way, too!

Any suggestions on which FSBO sites to use? Thanks!

A good realtor makes it their business to know about FSBO's that are on the market and will show you those also. They also have valuable knowledge of the property in their area and the neighborhoods and such that you won't get the benefit of if you go it alone.
