Well, we got back from Ky. a bit disappointed. The house in Stamping Ground was right next to a trailer park. The town was not as "rural" as we'd hoped and the neighbors were wayyyy too close for comfort. The house was not necessarily ideal either.

We are back to looking in Versailles, my wife is a bit of a nudge about it. So even though we've heard good things about other areas we are focusing on that town. We really don't have time to research other areas now anyway since the first people to tour our house put an offer in. It's do or die, so to speak. Problem is we haven't found an ideal house there either. Good land= crappy house, good house= no land, acceptable land= unacceptable house, good land, good house= out of our price range. We are looking into building on a lot, but even that is becoming a bit difficult.

Well, we do know we're moving. We know we want to be in Kentucky, but we are running out of time almost as fast as options. I hate this right now.

Thanks for all the replies though!

Check out Adena Trace on south side of Versailles. It appears to be one of the better locations. (its off Falling Springs Road)

Have you checked out Paris Ky at all? It is a very quaint town with good people and the housing prices are some of the lowest in the area. The roads into town have been widened in the past few years and is very accessible to both Georgetown and Lexington.
