Default Just Moving to Maysville KY

I just bought an old house in the downtown area of Maysville and am currently working on it, getting ready for the big move from Central Ohio to Maysville. My house has a great river view but needs some work. I am so impressed with this community! Within hours of arriving I had met many people, found great help in fixing up my house, enjoyed walking downtown for everything from paint to dinner. The downtown is still a functioning downtown with everything from a small grocery to art galleries, a museum and opera house. Maysville is currently working on designating most of the downtown area a Cultural Arts District. This is a gem of a town! There are problems of course, all towns have problems, but if you are looking for an historic river town with inexpensive properties and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, this is it.

I was born and raised in Maysville, graduated from Maysville High School. I left there in 1968 and although I'd never move back, I still enjoy visiting my relatives there.

Good luck on renovating/restoring your new home. For a fairly small place, there is a good amount of culture and flair.
