Monkeys Eyebrow got a mention on a travelogue show back in the 1960s. This was Passage to Adventure, and I think it ran on local TV up in Chicago. Usually the show was geared to overseas travelogues, but for some reason they did a segment on the area down along where the Ohio meets the Mississippi, which featured Monkeys Eyebrow.

That's cute. I always think of "hillbillies" being from Kentucky or Tennessee or even West Virginia more than Missouri but I think that where they were implying they came from.

Robert Rennick would know about it. He wrote the book with such said place name in the title. "From Red Hot to Monkey's Eyebrow" . I have been working with him for the past 4 years and he knows his stuff. He is not wired but loves fielding request about place names. It is something he has passionately done for over 40 years. I can supply an address if you like.
